Ok, i did search on here. I found some articles that kinda helped but nothing really really specific and i was hoping somebody might know my problem right off. Ok first of all i've relocated my battery to my trunk with either 0gauge or 2 gauge wire. I'm pretty sure i have a good ground from the battery in the trunk, i stripped the paint and everything. I have the new power wire, the old power wire, and the other two wires(that were attached to the old battery terminal) connected through O-rings and a bolt. I guess i should just get rid of the stock ground wire. I have a very new battery and after just one start the car will not start again.. i still have the accessories but it will make no noise if i try to start it. sometimes the clock will turn off when i try starting it. Thanks for any help

That sounds like a grounding issue to me. I would double check to make sure you're ground at the negative terminal on the battery is making good contact. If you reused an old battery, clean the post off and then reattach the terminal.

dont attach the 2 grounds in the engine bay, ground each on body seperately..

Got a new battery, still won't start.. I was wondering if having a bad battery and/or a bad connection could have broke something or a fuse..

Im no expert on grounding, but it sounds like it could also be a problem with your alternator. U say that after running once, the battery is drained. this i kno from experience can be an alternator problem. i could b wrong but jst my .02$

Thanks for the reply, well it was doing that and then i bought a new battery because my old battery had bad cells(i was told when i got it tested) probably because it was drained too many times.. Now what it does is not start at all!

Well i checked the battery's ground and it's fine. I know it's a good ground because it worked a couple months ago and i scraped off all the paint and stuff.

hey bro i got the same problem man, but mine last about 2 days before it just runs out of battery. i would drive it everyday during the week. and everytime i go to start it up, it would start up very weak and i will have to put just a little bit of gas to the pedal just to start it up. but then the weekend comes, we use my wifes 4 runner and i leave my car to sleep during the weekends, comes monday my car is dead. so i go to autozone and get my alternator tested and he says my alternator is running good. so i think its a ground problem but then i got my grounds on right too i suppose. he said that i had a preliminary drain and hes not sure what it was. but man all i do to save my battery everyday is unplug it after i come home from work and plug it back up in the morning. i hate fixing the time clock everyday but until i can find out what it is, thats what im going to have to do.

yea i have exactly the same problemso i took out my alternator and got it checked at NAPA and advance auto parts a one said it was fine, while the other said that it was bad, but the man who said that it was bad definatly had more knowledge, triple checked the voltages, and also had a way newer machine to check it

so i am gonna try and find a used alternator for cheap and see how that goes

Ive got a Drain on my battery too. I used a test light and found it was coming from the Accessories/Interior Lighting Fuse. I just pulled the fuse and no more drain. lol. F that clock, radeo, and interior lights.

Good alternators test bad frequently, unless the guy knows exactly the right trick to switch the wires around on the test rig.

Have them test a new KA alt off the shelf. If it tests bad also, you know the test setup is not working properly.

If one place tested it good I would bet is is good.
