a dude messaged me last night thru yahoo messenger...

he's got a 92-93 240sx... wanted to know where the negative cable is attached to in the engine or the frame? He has tested his alternator/battery & both were good.He also has returned to Walmart to get a replacement battery under warranty ~2x already.

I've got an 89 so i can't help him much, plus I don't even own a multimeter & is hesitant on working on electrical; any of u DOHC guys check & post your findings here?

I'm attaching a thread that i've found that's remotely close to this...http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....drain

Yellowjacket, is this the same way to hook up an ammeter to test for excess parasitic load? I'm guessing to hook it up in "series" then pull/replace a fuse 1 a time until the amps drop to near zero= find the circuit in ?

his email is [email protected], but i'll refer him to this thread as well..

thanx in advance:ylsuper

Yep, same thing. Just most people don't have a multimeter so using the test light is an alternate way of doing it. Not nearly as accurate or good though.

You can ground the battery anywhere on the frame. Buy a ground strap, drill a hole, thread it for a bolt and ground that sucker down.
