What did you do to narrow it down to 30 amp ignition switch?

i just connected my multimeter to the neg and pos of the battery and well my battery is draining pretty rapidly, but i just see how many volts my battery reads...and i unplugged everything under the fuse box to start...and every time i rechecked my voltage i plugged another fuse in. my battery voltage did not change until i plugged that fuse in..which was the last one i tried...and it just started draining my battery..

I have not experienced this so I dont know what normally causes a battery drain. The 30 amp fuse supplies continuous power to the ignition switch. You could test the ignition switch. THere should be no power in terminals2,3,4,5. one probe on terminal and on probe on ground to test. you would test with key out of ignition.

Now follow the corresponding wiring and look for rub marks where it more than likely has rubbed the chassis and is grounding out. It may also be a relay stuck on etc.

yeah thats jsut it..from the fuse box the wire goes together into millions of other wires which is all sealed up and hidden to be organized and look nice.

Didn't you say in another post that it only drains with the key on? If so, follow my advice in the other thread.

Have you noticed if any systems keep power, that aren't suppose to? And, is this for an S13 or S14?

no car acts like it should...like the "infamous" bell tone when you stick the key in goes on when it should. no lights are on etc. ever. it just starts draining.
