my battery keeps dying! i used a working fine battery, started right up full force, after some cruising i stop turn off and on, and its reeeal slow starting until it started

when i unplug the battery the car keeps running so the alt is ok right?

i wired the efan on a relay activated by the fuel pump fuse, and wired the relay to the battery with a 30amps fuse, that feeds the relay and then the fan, and also the key release thing, i did the 5 speed swap and did fixed the key release thing, i can pull the key out, but i leave the key on the position before the lock position (where the key turns when u press the button on the lock) does this consume the battery? (i unplugged the door chyme thing)

i feel like there is some huge consume on the battery, like the charge its getting gets chewed by something, and when off it gets chewed, but i wonder why the avalon battery which was fine was eaten so fast by the efan before starting the car...

so im wondering, if my alt keeps my car running.... it means its charging right? so what can i check???? how do i check grounds and if i have consume??? (gimme a small tutorial ) and also how can i check if theres a huge consume when the engine is on or something?

It sounds like your allternator. Disconnecting your battery while the car is running is NOT a good way to test your allternator.

Have your Allternator tested properly at your local auto parts store. Most will test for free.

I could be that your alternator is not full chargeing your batt and when the normal parts (radio, clock, ect) that pull power to keep there memory is draining the rest when shut off. When my alternator was going bad (it was only chargeing 12v instead of 14v), my headlights would get brighter when i pressed the gas petal and my batt would die after sitting for a while.

Unhook your battery negative cable and hook a test light in series between the unhooked cable and the battery negative terminal. If the light lights up bright you have excessive parasitic draw. Start pulling fuses until the light gets real dim or goes out. If you have access to a volt meter start your car and turn everything on (everything means everything) if the voltage drops to below 12 volts your altenator is not charging sufficiantly.

Solved: I was really looking at things i shouldnt, the fuse was damaged, the Alternator fuse in the fuse box near the battery, i replaced it and voila all set
