Battery died, now tray needs attention

My battery died, there’s a larger tray that sits over the battery tray, looks like it had a smaller battery in in the homeland, so I think Nows the time to neutralize the rust, I’ll ad a battery mat too under the battery. Anyone else done this? The tray is welded in, so it can’t be removed, bad design.
Under the hood, iis it just one paint or 2. Maybe just the base and no Pearl?

Yeah, I think it was pretty common not to use the pearl under the hood. If that's how it looks, I'd go with it.

Never thought about redoing the battery mount. Do a writeup? I have a stillen battery cover thing somewhere. It's guaranteed 96.5 horsepower when installed

I may just find an enamel that close. You don’t see any after the plastic tray in on top of the metal tray.
Did all years get the larger plastic try over the metal one?
I have to post small pics, someone needs to fix that and the adds are so crazy I can hardly post.

Yes! I have a set of Stillen floor mats, added 25 HP at least.
