Went out to the car and it wouldn't start due to the battery terminal being loose, it was giving me the dead battery tick and not trying to crank. I tightened the terminal and got in the car and everything seemed fine. I tried to start it and it was turning over but no start. I looked and the security light was solid while I was trying to start which I know is not right. It seems like the keys are no longer programmed but I don't see how this could be. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I have reset the car before with no issues, however this could have been like this for the past 2 days as I have not used my car since Friday. Thanks.............. Boon

Depending on the age of the battery, this may well be the source of the problem. Try a jump-start. If that works, drive to a store and buy a new battery and replace it!

Boon - If you didn’t like me before…. Wait until you read what I have to say just joking.

With all the slicing and dicing to your audio system to integrate the ipod and this latest attempt to integrate the auto start into your fob…….. It’s only obvious what caused this. My only concern for you is if and when you get this car to the dealer (god forbid) they are going ask what lead up to this and then $$$$$$. My only advice is to get in good with your service people and pray this doesn't cost you a grip. and if the battery is original... get a new one.I wish you the best and I’m sorry that Black on Black Crime is down in Detroit. Keep us posted my man.

Most likely your battery is dead. I had a similar incident. The car fired up fine one morning went to the post office and the car would not fire up at all. Had it jump started and drove home. Wouldn't start again so I went to Infiniti and they replaced the battery for free since the old one was still under warranty.

Well it's not the battery. When the battery was dead for 2 days and then I tried to start it it put the car into a security lock out mode. Awesome that the only way to get it out is to have the dealer do it, great feature. I am probably going to have to tow it to the dealer to have them do it. The last hope I have is leaving the battery disconnected overnight and hopefully the CPU will totally reset itself and I will be ok. Wish me luck................. Boon

Oh and cake, this issue had/has nothing to do with either the RS or the Audio. The Audio system doesn't effect the security system at all and the Remote Start would have created problems right away, not 3 days and 15 remote starts later. Using the key in the box does nothing but simulate the normal start process. This basically had to do with the car being without battery for 2 days then trying to start it while it had very little battery power. Thanks for looking out though. Black on Black crime should be back in action tomorrow..............

So I got my baby towed to the dealer and and spent $125 for them to program two keys. Basically the car being without power for 2 days caused the vehicle to lose its programming with the keys. Kinda ridiculous that they don't have a way for us to reprogram these keys without a $125 dealer visit. He said he has seen it before and it is very rare. Needless to say I tightened the mess out of the new battery and shouldn't have this problem anymore. If this ever happens to anyone now you know the cause............. Boon
