the other night, my battery died on my 2008 nissan altima, it was bought march 2008. isnt that a little fast for a battery to go? i just installed aftermarket fog lights 3 weeks back, they come on with my headlights, and i leave the switch in the on position all the time, because they shut off with the auto lamps when the car is off. and the led on the switch is not lit unless the car is on and the lights are on, so there's no power going to the switch or lights when the cars off, but im thinking are the lights themselves, or the wiring draining the battery when the cars off? or is there an electrical problem with the car that's draining the battery with the car off? we screwed up the wiring on the car a few times when doing so, we blew one fuse, but replaced it, so if someone could shed some light on this it would be great.

dont worry its normal for a battey to die fast since it comes from factory. many altima owners including myself have already experienced this in the past.

really? well that's a little relief. i hope that's the problem and i didn't mess up anything in the electrical system that would draw from the battery with the car off. the lights themselves switched on with the car off shouldn't do anything because the led light on the button is not lit and the lights arent on with the car off cuz i would notice them. anyone else just think it was a crappy battery?

It's a common problem. The OEM batteries are just junk.

The battery in my 08 died a few weeks ago. Would've gone back to the dealer but quite frankly I didn't want to be bothered and then have to pay 75% of the cost for a replacement that was probably not the best to begin with.

Duralast Gold from Advanced Auto Parts for about $100 with tax.
