soo i got a new alternator bench-tested 3 times before i put it in and a new battery also checked 3 times. then had advance check the charging system, when i rev the car it will charge but when i have it setting the car will die. i have re-grounded everything in the car a while ago, but now i can not explain why the voltage regulator will only charge the battery when i am in the throttle. the 75 amp fuse for the alternator looks good but i am going to get a new one from the dealer....... the battery light does not come on when i put the car in acc, i will change that light bulb while i am at it. i have also checked every fuse in the car and in the engine bay everything checks out, just the 75 amp fuse looks brown. i have not changed anything in the car added or removed i will do a drop-test on the car tomorrow. if all else fail is there away i can just replace the positive cable and make a new one with better gage wire? and if so can someone give me a diagram or some pics thanks!!

If the car is not too old, voltage regulator comes inside the alternator
Previously to the problem, did you have an idling problem?
If you keep your feet on the gas pedal, will the alternator charge the battery?
You need a meter to check voltages
