battery charged, but car won't start

I have an Infiniti M30. I accidentally activated the lights when I got out of the car in the morning and in the evening I found the battery dead. I removed the battery from the car and charged it with a charger that plugs into a household power outlet. The charger shows the battery is fully charged, but when I reconnect the battery to the car, the dash lights all come on and the alarm turns on, but the car will not start. The only way to stop the car alarm is to disconnect the battery again. The battery and alternator are both less than a year old. Why won't the car start?

if the alarm is going off the ignition will be disabled ..If you lock and unlock the drivers door will it turn off the alarm ??
