im about to change the terminals and cables for my 240sx.

what gauge wiring should i use?

will 2 gauge wiring me ok?

i found a good deal on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/2-AWG-Gaug...wItem

i guess ill buy 4 feet for neg + positive.

and im also going to use http://www.batteriesareus.com/...=6589

these so i can easily disconnect my terminals. every night since i have a parasitic draining problem.

give me some useful feedback thanks!

You must run a minimum of 4-GA to your starter, so if you use a heavier gauge (i.e. 2-GA) you will be just fine.

I think those tool-less terminals are overkill, to be honest. You can buy a 200a circuit breaker -- like those used in car audio -- and place it in line between the positive terminal of the battery and everything else. If you want an easy disconnect all you do is press the red Test button.

Of course, these are my recommendations because I, in fact, use 4-GA cable with a 200a circuit breaker.

would that work?

and it cuts the flow when my car is turned off?

Yes that's pretty much what I have, except mine is made by Stinger and uses terminal lugs.

That would be a lot easier to install than mine was since all you do is cut the cable and screw it into both ends. Mind you, you're going to be turning over a motor instead of supplying power to an amplifier. Make sure you tighten the set-screws real well, and if I were you, I'd tin the ends of the cable with solder first.

i think a 200amp circuit braker would be overkill. the starter only draws 80 some amps iirc. im using a 100amp breaker and everythings fine
