Battery & Brake light On??????

help please....what does it mean when both of these indicators are on???

i was on my way to work this morning doing around 70 - 75 on the 57 fwy, i slightly step on the brake then i noticed that the engine almost died, rpm needled dipped.

After that instance, I noticed that the Battery & the brake lights are both lit up.

i also have a digital plug-in type voltage meter in the cigarette plug...and I noticed that the voltage are down to about 11+ volts.

what the heck happened? and i wonder if i can still get home tonight (about 23 miles drive).

usually those two on together = your alternator on its way out

yeah, if it is then there should be some sort of warranty....

used to happen to me on my s14...had a redtop swap...ended up being i had a loose ground somewhere

just happenned to me. turns out is was the 75 amp alt. fuse. Those two lights went on, radio cut in and out, nothing worked until i revved the engine. Good luck
