So, my car is now having the battery and brake lights on on the dash almost all the time.

Some back story...my car was broken into, my radio was stolen. When they stole the radio, they pulled the wires, cutting/shorting some causing my running lights not to work and half my dash to blink on and off. Brought it to the shop, they "fixed" everything. (not really, half my dash still blinks and my running lights don't flash with my remote lock/unlock).

Could a cut/damaged wire be causing the lights to be on on my dash? I have a new battery and alternator. I have checked the connections and all seem good. It's been running fine for the past week or so with these lights on. I just need some input as if they are related to the theft, or something else. Thanks!

if the shop that did the repairs on your car did not complete the job then take it back and discuss with them the situation.

I have an appointment with the people who installed my remote start. They were blaming the 3rd party hardware causing the lights not to flash. I highly doubt that is the case though. They seem to be passing the buck, but I want to verify with the other shop before calling them out on it.

But the thing that I need to clarify is if the two lights could be related to the wires either being cut or damaged? I just hate it to be something else and either having to pay for them to fix something that I could have fixed myself or have my car quit on me when I'm going down the highway.
