Battery & Brake Dash Lights come on together

2000 I30 approximately 62,000 miles.

My dash battery and brake lights come on together while driving. After a while, they both go off together. This has happened twice in the past week.The battery is less than 2 years old. I checked the brake fluid level. Its good.

Any thoughts on why this is happening would be much appreciated.Thanks.

might be the alternator, i was having same problem.

took car in to get front brake pads replaced and it went out. battery and alternator are less than 6 months old...

you have same year as my i30 too, interesting.... i dont kno but im getting tired of this car now. hopefully it doesnt totally break me, but im thinking about getting rid of it.

I agree with Patrick.

Have your alternator checked ASAP or it will leave you stuck.
