battery and handbrake lights

okay so my 240 did something weird i was driving one morning and the handbrake light and batter light came on in the afternoon it cut off and did it again the next day. but the car was starting fine and everything so i taught it was a short somewhere so i didnt really bother , with work and everything, i went to jersey last night and when i got to my stop as i clutch down it cut off, i got a jump and she was fine again, i stop at another rest stop on the way back and felt around under the transmission and found a loose harness so i clipped it in and while i was on the highway again the airbag light blinked and the lights on the dash dimmed, i turned off the lights got some tickets and ran a light just not to stop as there was no shoulder or anything so it would be a s*** spot to stop. when i got back home i cut it off and it started back but a weak start can anyone help. my friend told me is the alternator, but its a new alternator from when i rebuilt my engine i got a new one but he said its not unheard of and was probably a shi**y job any help please

When my batteries have died the battery and e-brake lights both come on. So I'd look at battery first (or if its new, then alternator).

you were right it was a faulty alternator lucky i had the warranty so it didnt cost me a cent as the battery is brand new

I don't have one, there was one at a local junkyard a couple weeks ago, but probably is missing by now.
