My girlfriend's 1996 Altima had the battery crap out on her on the freeway yesterday, but the car still made it home. She said she lost power to the speedo, radio and everything else.

We replaced the battery yesterday and it runs good again, but the battery and brake lights are still on in the gauge cluster. Does anybody know why these are still on and how to reset them? I have the same issue with my RB swapped 240.

Thanks

Darius, test your charging voltage at the alternator and at the battery. Sounds like it isn't getting charged, hence the battery and brake lights being illuminated.

If these check out ok, check the plug at the alternator. Make sure the plug is connected and wires are still good.
