I recently ran out of power when trying to drive to school in the morning... I replaced the battery and it worked for about a week or two. Then today it happened again... I took out the alternator and brought it to a store to test.. it passed 4 times. What could be wrong? Is there a way to check the charging system? I checked for things left on... and everything was turned off... headlights, everything..

Thank you

You ever get this sorted out? What was it? Did your Charge Warning Light come on?

Do a voltage drop test on the cables--sometimes it just that the wires get all green and corroded!

FYI if you wanna check if your alternator is putting out enough volts, get a DVOM (voltmeter). Hook up the positive and negative leads to the battery when the car is running, there you go thats what your charging at. You might wanna rev the engine a bit though. Bare minimum voltage you want should be like 13.0-13.5v, a good alternator should be putting out 14+. Have fun
