When I turn on my ignition with out starting the engine my battery light is not on. I do not think I have ever seen it on since I owned the car. I removed theinstrument cluster and checked the bulb it tests fine with a 12 volt power source. I also performed the trouble shooting in the fsm which has you remove connector SL from the alternator and ground L. The results of this test tell me to replace the bulb. Should I go to the istrument cluster next and check diodes and resistors or is this an alternator problem?

As always thanks in advance

Trade out that bulb with the one from the seatbelt warning, make certain it's not just the bulb. You may want to VERY GENTLY clean the contacts with a SOFT eraser as well.

I just replaced the bulb and cleaned the contacts still no light. My trip meter stopped working a few weeks ago, maybe my whole instrument cluster is dying.Or????
