batt light going insane why?is checked batt and alt both fine

finished doing auto to man swap everything is fine, but now my batt light is on dim and when i rev it high enough the light is bright and blinks ,every light in the car blinks with it, anyone know what the prob is checked batt and alt both fine

check first your alternator connections, if they are tight, no broken wires on the connectors & has 12 volts on the heavy positive wire & 12 volts at ignition "ON", on one of the wire on the connector terminal, you might have a bad diode at the alternator, sometimes charging is still ok , you need an alternator. Make sure all your grounds & battery terminals are tight.

got 2 new ground wires one from the batt to body and one from body to engine,same thing happening, put a mulimeter on it and stays around 15v doesnt jump around ,......lost

pnly starts blinking around 3000 rpm

ok just un pluged the big whie wire with the black plug that goes to the pos terminal and stops flashing but batt light is on

if the fuses are good, it's time for a new alternator, some stores, they can have it tested before you buy one, say like Kragen? normally, at a shop they can test charging system without removing the alternator. 15 volts is a little bit high , you want around 13-14 volts only. I'd say it's overcharging.
