Ok, the movie was great. It is everything i would have wanted it to be ever since I got an early peek at it a year ago.

Add another car to my list of wants....the tumbler. For purely aestetic reasons, that thing is magnificent. The noise it makes as well (the movie noise I mean) is also worthy of mention.

Imagine starting up your car and it sounds like that? A cross between an angry hyena, a lion/tiger and a crocodile. (anyone ever hear a crocodile's roar? Sounds scarier than a lion's)

For those of you who have seen it, please post your comments.

NO SPOILERS PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top gear featured that monster on their show... The car was actually built to be a bat mobile.. everything is pretty much operational including the airbrakes, the flame shooter out the back, guns etc etc...

Just saw the movie again tonight. It gets better the second time. Im gonna have to download that Top Gear episode. Here are some neat pictures I found of the Tumbler.

I love the side profile. This vehicle is very alike to the modified batmobile from The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel.

My sister would find a way to wreck it.It was awesome.Although only question I had was when asked "you know how to drive a stick" Isn't it just throttle and steering?

5.7 liter cheverolet v8 with an additional rear mounted jet engine for extra thrust.

And I thought I wanted to own the 1989 movie batmobile bad.

Sorry, KA-T fans.

That car is freaky looking. I'd watch the movie just to see it drive.

Saw it while killing time in Vegas. Awesome movie, makes the other Batman movies look like piles of steaming poo, including Burton's original. Yeah, it was cool in 1989 but it's absolute cheese now, apart from Nicholson as the Joker.

Christian Bale was fantastic - dark, moody, and vicious - and there was a great supporting cast: Gary Oldman, Rutger Hauer, Morgan Freeman et al. The movie did a good job of integrating elements of the graphic novels Batman: Year One and Year Two into the story, and staying true to what Batman was really supposed to be "about" from the beginning.

And the Batmobile was bad-***...in a Mad Max Falcon XB Interceptor kind of way. They did a nice job on that ride.

My sentiments exactly. Jack Nicholson made an awesome joker.

I just saw the movie in IMAX format this past Sunday. It was the freakin super ROXOR!1. I thought i was going to get sick at first but then i was ok. I loved how they went into the whole ninja-school training bit, I used to watch the animated Batman series back in the day and I think they mentioned it too. Liam makes a sweet ninja. Christian Bale: the perfect Batman. I liked how the movie went back to the comic book's original dark roots. Too bad those other movies were made, they were so campy and cartoony. Tsk tsk.

So does anyone think there will be a sequel? If so, who should play the Joker? Too bad Christopher Walken is getting old, and Brad Pitt was nuts in 12 Monkeys. Maybe that would work.

The old animated series was awesome. The episodes you are talking about are "Night of the Ninja" and "Day of the Samurai", which I think they finally released on DVD.

I really enjoyed how they FINALLY used, on film, the gimmick of Gordon talking to Batman, but hes not there anymore. Perfect Batman movie.

I think they already know they have a tremendous hit with this movie and are eager to reinvent the franchise after this film.

As far as someone playing the Joker, I really would like a relatively unknown actor to play it. I doubt that will happen though and the only Hollywood type I could pull it off is Alan Cumming. He's got the slim, he looks like the Joker without makeup and he can do weird comedy. He's available now that he wont be returning as Nightcrawler in X-men 3.(Too bad Mark Hammil is ageing as well)
