Bat's roof overlay install question.

To those of you that have installed this yourself.....

I laid the overlay out on the roof a minute ago and everything seems to be cut right, but I noticed the moon roof hole is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch too small around the whole perimeter of the moon roof. Basically too much excess to just tuck in and idk if I trust myself to free hand cut the extra off. So my question to you guys is, was your overlay the same as this or was the moon roof hole bigger?

Id grab a heat gun and tuck it in then cut off any excess from that.
