Bass Shakers work on the concept that low bass is mostly felt and not heard. Feel the earth-shaking bass from your music, movies or video game soundtracks.

Originally designed for automotive applications to produce big bass without taking up valuable space in the car. Ideal for convertibles and sports cars, where installing a large subwoofer is not practical. Can also be used in the home to make your own movie or video game chair. This unit simply mounts to the floorboard under the seat or to the bottom of a chair to feel awesome bass.

This Pro version shaker handles 50 watts of power and produces more driving force than a standard shaker. Hooks up like an ordinary speaker. Use an array of Bass Shakers for larger surface areas like couches or love seats by utilizing conventional series parallel wiring configuration. Aura part number AST-2B-4. Sold and boxed individually and come 16 units per case.

Specifications: *Power handling: 50 watts RMS/100 watts max *Impedance: 4 ohms *Usable frequency response: 20 to 80 Hz *Fs: 40 Hz *Force peak: 30 lbs. per ft. *Dimensions: 6.2" dia. x 2.5" H

this looks nice!

My view: do you deliberately want to shake your car to pieces? The coupes trunk is big enough for a sub or two...

what about the golf clubs?

Is this essentially a giant cell phone vibrator?

A weight spinning around?

Golf clubs? Back seat, lol. I don't think it could be something like a cell phone vibrator, as a weight spinning around wouldn't do a very good job of accurately reproducing sounds.

So i'd just have to go to Doc's wiring color scheme for bose system, add an amp, and put these puppy's under the seats?

Hmmm. It's an interesting concept. But bass is still more "heard" than "felt". You might notice a difference with this, but basically this is just a speaker driver, and the car itself and all the metal is the speaker, per say. This would sound interesting on a single piece of metal mounted, but Im 100% positive it would sound awful in our a/c's, especially given all the problems all of us here have with rattles and such.

If i go with just two (front seats) will it really rattle much if properly mounted?

Im definatly considering these shakers with this amp. Any suggestions or constructive comments?

True and untrue. The human ear can pick up frequencies as low as about 20 Hz at birth, but that degrades with time. Therefore, all frequencies below 20 Hz are definitely felt. That being said, this thing operates from 20 Hz to 80 Hz, which is well within the range of a good sub. I would recommend going with a sub over this thing, because it is operating in the audible spectrum. You would be able to feel vibrations with this unit, but without the sound it would be somewhat worthless IMO.

it's supposed to complement the bass, not completly replace it I think. think of it as a way to lower the LFE "volume" without losing the bass too much. (thats awesome in apartments )

i like the idea of the seats shaking with the bass. Maybe what he's saying is: with this added on, the "sensation" of the subs will be less due to the vibrations?

Any recommendations on an amp for this thing? Is Rockford Fosgate still #1?

As crappy as that Rockford Amp is, it still does more than just 80 watts at 4 ohms... probably more like 120-130watts @ 4 ohms

I know what the website, but I know Rockford Amps, and even the crappy ones put out much more than they advertise! You will fry those bass shakers with that amp!

well the Pro shaker says 75 watts, so I wouldn't go much over that and yes, your item should be there tomorrow

just a little more info on this item, bass shakers are mainly used in really high end home theater setups. Also they are used a lot in movie theaters. You may know them by the name "buttkicker" because they make your seat rattle and make you feel the explosions. They are meant for sound effects, not really music.
