Best place to start is get the thing working properly. Spend your money on making the car a sound daily driver i.e. fix any leaks, good battery/ alternator and all the connections, all the window and door seals work (sunroof too). Don't forget you NEED defrost for the front windshield. Either a/c compressor or good heater box seals to direct heat to the windshield. After that.... Good suspension (full coil overs or maybe AGX w/ Ground control springs. something of that nature). Wheels and tires (light with a good offset). Then look after the brakes. Q45 brakes are cheap up-grade or 300zx (z32) if you can find a good deal. After that, you've got a good start to solid project. Too many people build too much speed too fast. They end up with cars that are on the verge of blowing up AND they still don't stop and steer.

What he said. A stock 240 with even the SOHC in good running condition is plenty fast enough to get you all the speeding tickets you can't aford.

I am glad to see that you know your limits. Like carmo says, get what you have working right and then upgrade. By then you will have a better idea of what yo want out of the car and what you can aford to do to it.

Yup Carmo's got it. Even cars with a ****ton of mods can be crappy dailys when all those little things add up.

Very nice! You would hate to ruin what looks like a perfect start. It appears as though you have your hands on a highly sought after platform. I don't know how the rest looks but if the exterior is any indication of the interior and the under side; you have a damn fine start.
