Hi all- I'm new here though I've had my 240 for a while. I was browsing around and I like it here.

I have a '93 and when I reverse it often makes this sound that sounds like I've hit something. If I keep on reversing it stops again- so it's like a bump or a "SCRAPE" rather. Does anyone know what it might be?

I have the same exact noise with my car also. I notice it only makes the noise when I reverse with my foot is completely off the brake. The noise goes away for me if my foot is slightly braking while reversing, or I reverse with the Emergency brake up.

It might be the subframe bushings. Unless my new front struts have something going on.

Did you check it out Hazukijitsu? Is it something we should worry about a lot?

QFTI had the same problem. I installed some peak performance subframe collars, now it just squeaks when I reverse and hit the brakes. I know, I know...I need to actually replace the WHOLE bushings.
