Hello all,

I am new to the world of Nissans and tuner cars in general. I am looking for a bit of advice on cheap engine upgrades to help boost a bit more power from the engine.

Here is what I am looking to build (short version)1989 240sx KA24E engine. Engine has been completely overhauled 60k miles ago. It was bored 0.60 over to a displacement of 2.5 liters. I purchased the car from my brother for 500 bux.

I am more intersted in handling than high speed. However, I find that this car is very lacking in the power department, and would like to find cheap and free ways to suck more power from the engine.

What I have completed on the suspension....

Also looking for items to stiffen the chassis.

What is your budget? If you want a good sounding car I would get a header and a BRM exhaust. Very nice sound and BRM claims 7-11 WHP (wheel horsepower).Maybe a Cold Air Intake as well. I have the Injen, I have no complaints, just keep it dry.

If you have some money, look into a turbo kit.IAP import auto performance, makes a good kit and NICO members get special pricing, I think its $3200. It is a complete kit I believe. If you have any quesitons dont hesitate to ask, the people here are very knowledgeable and most of the time they are nice. Wlelcome to NICO. Also, I am in no way an advice authority, but if you have any questions you may ask [email protected]

overboring your motor .060 over wont really give you a 2.5L

here are a list of basic mods you can get to give your KA a little more umph

AEM intake, DC header, any 3 inch exhaust, lightened crank pulley, lightened flywheel, electric fan conversion, so minor weight reduction... the list can go on
