base s14 with LSD?

Well, I finally drove my first s14 today. Its a 96 base model, 5 spd, red with 83k and they're asking $5200 for it. I'm really gonna try to get a loan for it. Although I wish I could find an SE or a 97-98, and red isn't my favorite, its in really good shape, runs strong as hell comapred to my s13(but man the gas pedal is hard as hell to press compared to mine). Other than a few scrathes its in great condition cosmetically too. The wierd thing is, I was looking underneath the rear and the differential has some orange paint on it, which IIRC means its an LSD and did a little tire spinning on some gravel and there were 2 tire marks. I wasn't aware any base models came with LSD. Anyways theres one other s14 on autotrader for 5k and its gold and an SE, so I'd like to try to get that one. Wish me luck getting a loan(I have hardly any credit history).

From what I remember...96 base model 240sx didnt have an option for VLSD, but I could be wrong

Mine's a base model, and mine has the coveted LSD as well. (95 though). I was under the impression that LSDS were optional on all of the cars (se and non-se) from 95 up.
