Hey i just got my first infiniti and the first car worth more than $3000 since i was able to drive i have a little money to upgrade it but the problem is it is only the G35 base model, 5 speed auto. I'm gonna start with an intake and exhaust but im not sure really where to go from there. The car is a 2007 so it is fairly new i am open to really any suggestions. Thanks

Twin root eaton supercharger running 12psi and cosworth 9.0:1 compression pistons, nismo rods and stillen headers. Easy 120hp. Or just get the headers and a plenum spacer, as many here do that. Its cheap.

thanks ill get right on that. Im probably just gonna do headers and the plenum spacer then see just how much i have left and the supercharger might be a little much but ill try to find it cheap if you have any more ideas just let me know

I don't know that you need the spacer on an 07. You may gain some with exhaust mods, but keep in mind that exhaust mods done incorrectly may just reduce your horsepower and torque to zero.

Since I am basically trying to do the same.

What I done:-z tube-jwt popcharger-smoked side markers

Plans:-tint asap-front strut bar (though only finding 1 that fits with cover and its too expensive)-19" wheels (always looking for a good deal on them)

I'm also thinking about 350Z springs and shocks for a 1/2 inch drop but to basically stay stock due to it being a DD for me. I assume you have a coupe as well, so would be the same for you and you may want more than the 1/2 inch drop.

Base model won't change much. But if you are a coupe or sedan it will change a lot from 2007.

What model do you have?

my 2 cents, decide how much HP you want before spending your money.

its a coupe and for the guy wondering how much i am wanting around 350-375 wheel hp and could want more (if i can get more with a few more dollars). I would like to keep it naturally aspirated for monetary reason because i have around $3000 to spend. Ive got a few things in the wheels and tires came in first the other stuff im debating over i am on the fence about the spacer and ive ordered an injen sp cold air intake the big question is whether to just start really saving to get the supercharger and save money until i get that. Also i have heard about a magnuson mp90 being put in a g35 if someone had a link i would really like to look at the price and possible build a supercharger system that would be great

You're going to need a LOT more than $3k to get that much power NA. If that's your goal, save up and buy a Vortech tuner kit. Then buy the supporting mods; Utec, injectors, pump, etc.

3k isn't much to get any decent power from the G35...

To make 350 at the wheels, you need to go FI. A vortech SC will get you in the range you want, but it will cost you 5-7k.

Here's a quick breakdown of parts/HP numbers:

1. intake:-popcharger (short ram) or CAI: 5HP $150-Z-tube: 2HP $70-spacer: 5HP $100

2. Exhaust: -cat-back:5-10HP $1200-HFC (high flow cats): 5HP $300-Headers: 5HP $500

3. Engine:-cam upgrade: 15-20HP $1200-cosworth internals ($$$):70-100HP $3-5k

4. Forced Induction:-Vortech SC: 50-60% HP increase (400RWHP with tuning) $5-7k-Stillen Roots SC: 30-40% HP increase $3-5k-Turbotechnics (single turbo): 40-50% HP increase $6-7k-JWT twin turbo: 60-70% HP increase $8-10k-APS twin turbo: 60-70% HP increase $9-12k

**all numbers are approximate and depend on installation, sales, ect...

great thanks thats what i needed and the other parts like the supercharger may come later and i can get started now and just save up for the more expensive parts later. If forced induction is the way to go then i will need a lot more more and that of course equals more time to wait until its finished but ive got an idea of a good start.
