I've also realized when it comes to fuel mileage alot of people boast or brag numbers on that MPG, mostly the turbo guys fib a little to make their car sound better, or infact they have put 5 grand into a tranny, and Diff swap.
I mean I also own a Nissan Titan VK56de, my 2014 model gets the best gasmileage out of all the Titan model years because of its VVT, however we are talking about less than 1mpg, is it really worth bragging about? NO because my Titan gets 18MPG highway
What makes turbo charging efficient is forced induction which has the ability to increase (force induct) atmospheric pressure into the engine, however it isn't efficient as it isn't natural to the state of liter displacement, meaning that CO2 and NOX emissions increase per displacement. Defined by the EPA efficiency is reducing the level of NOX Co2 per liter while increasing fuel economy to displacement.
