I'm rubbing there, can I safely bang that metal out/cut/dremel or should I just raise the car?

There is also a “Tires, Wheels, Brakes and Suspension” forum within NICO under the Technical section. They can most likely tell you exactly what to do and give you the answer you’re looking for; and it’s sponsored by The Tire Rack. If they can’t give your more of a professional answer than I don’t know who can with out forking out some dough.

Bang it up, most people with S13s running low coilovers have had to do it.

Remove the fender and move the wiring harness. While you have the fender off, romove your coilovers and remove the spring. Reinstall just the shock. Get a jack and jack the tire up the the full compression of the stroke, and see how much you need to bang back. Every drift and circuit spec S13 I have seen has had to do that.

damn, and I thought my front end was low, I'm gonna jump on the "bang bus"heh, I mean bandwagon here and say use a hammer and a handtowel...and maybe raise it half an inch? oh and you don't have to remove thefender to relocate the harness enough not to rub, you just NEED to relocatethe harness so it won't rub through... been there, and it sucks ***...I had a winker and lost my ability to pop up the drivers side headlight.

all you really have to do is cut or pop the tab out of the factory zip tie/mount...and then use 2 of the stronger type zip ties, not connected to each other but next to each other...now heres the pain in the *** (if you don't takethe wheel off first that is)......the fasteners on the zip ties which are wider/thicker than the rest ofthe tie need to get pushed up and into the crevice where the fender and the frame meet...if you need to, you can wedge something GENTLY between them to get more room to push the flat part of the zip ties into the crevice. the principle being since you are now in control of the length, itwill sit high enough to clear the tire, and the fastener part of the 2 zip ties will hold the harness in place, kind of providing an anchor from above (theflat part of the tie slightly wedged inbetween the fender and frame.

this takes a lot less time than fender removal/harness relocation. and ALSOtakes a lot less time than splice repairing sections of wiring harness andelectrical taping it back into harness form

for me, I only had to do the drivers side... didn't even have to remove theinner fender on the passenger side...and my coupe is pretty dumped.
