I just happened to drive by a for sale Z31 while on lunch today and swung by to look at it. It is an '86 turbo and looks actually in really good shape. Seats are torn a little, some peeling black trim around the T-tops, and a slight bit of the yellow bumper syndrome in a few spots, but one of the cleanest I have seen that was not restored. I have always kind of liked these cars and this one caught my interest. I was wondering what a decent price might be. I really have no idea what the values of these cars are and I can't find an online blue book that goes back that far. 133k miles, definitely a garage car for most of its life. I think he had $3900 on the sign.

If the motor and drivetrain are in good shape I don't see any reason you couldn't get it for $3k. The exterior sound beat up, maybe a better word is worn, but from the sound of it, it's definitely not flawless. It really all comes down to how much the car is worth to them. Make them an offer, sound serious and interested, who know's how low they'll go.

I am presently trying to sell mine, I'm asking $3k for the car alone as it sits, but my car is heavily modified, great for racing not so great for street use, I think $3k is a good price for a decent driver, I don't see any more than that unless we're talking aobut an 87-89 turbo with low miles
