Balljoint problem

My friend and I were replacing his ball joints this afternoon. The driver side ball joint came out very easily. The passanger side ball jiont is stuck. The bolt will not come out no matter what. We loosened it to the top of the bolt, and tried to move the control arm down. After an hour of hitting it with a hammer and spraying it down the bolt is still stuck.

Any suggestions?

If we're not able to get it off we are going to take the car to a mechanic and have them remove the ball joint.

Any help is appreceated.

hit the joint on the side, not up on the bolt. that will losten it most of the time. by the side, im talking about the large metal ring the bolt goes through.
