I have been wondering that for a while. Where is the easiest place to get weighed. How you you weigh a car at home?H8tred wrote:
I'm at a loss as to where all that weight is coming from. Anyone care to take a stab as to what weighs 872 pounds?
ugh, if you insist.d*star180 wrote:Stop stealing pics off of Ziptied. Show us your 50 dollar a wheel diamond racings. LOL.
millyards are a great place to weigh in. they usually have them accessible on the way out, and hardly ever manned, plus they are open at night (at least mine is).H8tred wrote:A buddy of mines dad works for Fairbanks Scales, calibrating and all that. Next time I talk to him, I'll see what he knows. He mostly works on the interstate weigh stations. I would say your local landfill, but all the ones I have been to aren't so much about accurate weight as they are difference in weight.
I'll start a new thread on it. Sorry for the Jack...

You guys are getting GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) confused with curb weight. The GVWR is the the curb weight of the car with a full load, or at least what it is rated at. For example, this would be the weight of the car itself, plus fuel, plus you and your 300lb girlfriend and any cargo.H8tred wrote:My door sticker also says it weighs 3,619 pounds... NAh i know a guy with a silvia that the same thing happened to him94_240sx wrote:
I've seen like 5+ hatchbacks that have dent in person. All the owners were careful, but they still got it. On the other hand, I know this guy who pulled the fender on his coupe, but he got no dent. I've heard hatch gets buckled easier than coupe.
Yeah, that's what I said in the thread I started about it. I read a little info about it on a Corvette forum. They said manufacturers estimate 180 per passenger, and 123 in luggage. I never knew that, you learn something new everytime you search google.repo man wrote:

This useless tip brought to you by repo.

It's one of those cars where I say, "Eh, not my style... kinda impractical, needs paint, useless wing, and wtf is up with the rack.... But DAMN, it's cooool."
