well ball joints have a life expectancy, they dont last forever, you might be due for new ones, idk, like what fueler said what are the symptoms, and i have an extra pair if you need them ill sell'em to ya,if they work for yours im not sure.(there OE) i replaced mine and it didnt help my problem so then i replaced my a arms and the a arms came with ball joints, oh and the a arm (control arm) fixed my problem, my q shook violently when at highway speeds going around a slight corner.

Symtoms are not much at all. I thought my suspension was shotb/c going over bumps my front hits pretty hard. I went out with a friend of mine and he said (after a 5 min ride)my ball joints needed to be fixed or atleast checked.

I replaced my balljoints when I first bought my '98 XE with 120K miles. They were clunking pretty badly.

Buy them from NAPA at <$20 each. Don't know why they're much lower cost at NAPA, but I'm happy I didn't have to pay the $70+ everyone else was quoting!

Hope this helps!
