Unless you've got something like z brakes on your 40, no need for a bigger master cylinder, just replace the one you got now and run better fluid like ATE.
The ball joints, I'm assuming you're referring to lower control arm ball joints for either front or rear. I haven't found anyone selling the rear ball joints seperately and wouldn't trust anything less than OEM for the rear. The front, PDM has the front ball joints from Moog but require pressing. They also have front lower control arms with new ball joints already in them and also feature a grease nipple. They work very well.
