I was up under the car today, checking my suspension. I heard some clunking when I was turning full lock in the auto-x yesterday. I'm not an expert on ball joints, but does this look ok, or does it look busted? both joints look similar

unless the boot is torn, a visual is useless.

you need to take a prybar and see how much play there is in the joint. [use the bar to try to spread the joint apart [the lca and the spindle] if its loose, replace]

also, the clunking while turning would indicate the tie rod ends. you can check the outers using the same procedure for the ball joint. if you can spread the tie rod end [checking for play in the joint] from the arm on the spindle, replace.
