Hey guys..

After putting my RS*R race springs and Koni shocks, when getting the car aligned, it was brought to me that my car could not be aligned because I had a blown ball joint and a tie-rod end that wasn't in too good shape either..

I don't feel any play in the steering...could my ball joint really be messed up?

So anyways, I told them to nevermind for now as I don't know what I'll do..

Is it worth upgrading the tie rods and tie rod ends , or should I just replace that and the ball joint with OEM or OEM replacement stuff?

Thanks

Did you already get under the car and check? Is there cracking and ozzing?

If they are bad get a used lower control arm (which has the ball joint). I got mine from the classifields here (www.orlandopowerline.com) for $50 bucks or so.

As for tierod I would just go with the Tein ones or try SPL's. I went with used stock ones from Orlando too for $30 bucks or so.

The guy called me back and told me the ball joint is bad, and the tie rod end but not the tie rod itself... good..I'll get moog stuff..

As for looking for oozing, in Quebec, we got our car rustproofed so often that the whole thing is full of goo, it's impossible to spot oil leaks, goo leaking and that kind of stuff...

If you have never replaced them then chances are neither has the previous owner. You can pick up some MOOG tie rod ends for around $25-$30 each.
