Balky Q45 door locks

For years my 94' Q45t has had an issue with the electric door locks. When I use the remote I push once to open the drivers door and that always works fine. When I push once more to unlock all the doors, the locks cycle open and then immediately all lock again. Generally, on the 2nd or 3rd time I can get the door locks to all stay open. The locks perform in the same manner when I try to unlock all the doors using the inside drivers door lock switch. They all unlock and then immediately lock again. Very mysterious and frustrating. Again, after the 2nd or 3rd time I am able to get all the locks to stay open.

The doors lock via the remote and the interior switches normally. It's the unlocking that is the tricky part.

I sort of had the same problem, except mine would just lock randomly, especially bad when you have your keys in the inside of the car...

I replaced the remote control moduel in the trunk and that fixed it... if you cna get a used one for liek $30 its worth a shot.

Yow..a new remote control module appears to be around $433. I think for that I will just hit the button the extra time or two it takes. Unless like you said, I find a used one.

Wasn't this discussed earlier as being the timer relay under the dash? I seem to recall it was a $68 relay -- some models with dots and others with none. Maybe run a search, or someone with a better memory will post!
