hey guys, i am going to post this up on the KA thread also, but i am putting it here because theres is a lot more traffic on these threads so am pretty sure i'll have better feedback.

i need your opinions on my confusion, recently i spun a bearing on my ka, i wont tell u guys how because then you will all flame and call me a moron, i like to just call it a rookie mistake, so now that i am tearing it all apart and dealing with the machine shop and such, i thought that i should take advantage of this and get my internals balanced.

so what do you guys think, worth it or not?

to reground my crankshaft they are charging me around $90, they said price may vary when they see it, and an additional $150 will be charged if i want it all balanced, i am on a really tight budget but i think this might pay off in the long run.

just looking for somebody else's opinion! any input will be greatly appreciated. sorry if it has been discussed before but i wasn't able to find it.

thanks. -Oliver

if your engine is out, just replace what you can, metal gasket, arp stuff, new bearings. Id say do everything you can if your motor is out so that way you dont have to worry about anything in the future

well i just rebuilt her my self 3000 miles ago and pretty much everything else is new, and the engine is not out though!!! i hope you can picture how i've been doing all this work, i dont have a lift or stand handy so i've been able to manage it from the bottom without pulling the engine out of there.

thanks!! once again and appreciate your input!
