My roomate and I baked my headlights about a week ago. We got the housing open and I removed the amber and replaced it with an LED. We painted the housing dark grey to match my Dark Slate coupe. I have to say I think it looks A LOT better now then it did before! I just now put in a new HID kit so I'll get pictures up later.

Nice, make sure that you seal it properly, otherwise condensation problems are bound to happen.

What kind of LEDs did you use?

I didn't actually put an LED strip in it like you did, I just replaced the DRL bulb with an LED. Sorry for the confusion haha

Here are some of the pictures, mind you they were taken from my cell phone since I don't own a camera  The housing looks black but its actually grey.

It's really hard to get decent pictures with just a cell phone though. Sorry!

Looks nice! What did you use to seal them up? Please don't say silicone....

It wasn't just plain silicone, it was silicone sealant my roomate suggested that because that's what he's used in the past but I haven't had any problems since.

silicone and silicone sealant is the same thing. You'll see that it will begin to pull apart at some point in time. :ohno:

I removed all the original sealant and got the NISSAN sealant part number B6553-89915

Yeah the OEM sealant is like hard plastic. It was a biz-ach to get it off!
