dumbass people.i need to vent.

today, i went to look at an s14 in madison, wi.i live in milwaukee, and its approximately almost a 2 hour drive.

when i got there, i went inside, his dog lunged at me, and i thought that thing was gonna eat me alive.i proceeded to head towards his garage yelling "HELLO!?" 4 times.he comes out, says "hey"i said "hey, i'm here to see the 240?"he said "yeah, the keys are in the car"alright cool, so i go back out, start the car, check the car, few dents/dings/ some rust that i could care a bit less about. and i noticed the timing chain guide clicks pretty bad, motor mounts were on its way to hell.i go back inside and ask, "hey can i test drive the 240?"the guy says "sorry, i cant risk it" (i guess he doesnt want me to steal his car or something, because i'm asian, and that place is super rural/suburban)i was like "dude, i just drove almost 2 hours to see your car,"he then says "yeah, if you wanna test drive it, come back tomorrow"overall, he didnt take a single step outside to see what i was doing.

okay, what the hell? i just drove 2 hours to get here, and youre telling me to come back tomorrow?, yeah screw you. so i left. i had cash in hand too.

I know the feeling. When I was living in GA, I drove from Savannah, GA to Atlanta, GA. About a 3 and a half hour drive. I only went up there after I got the okay from the owner. Once I got up there, the d*ckface told me it was sold. I drove back home and drove down south 2 hours to Jacksonville, FL the next day. Finally settled on the current 240 that I have.

I can see what the a hole that was selling the call is probably coming from.When i was trying to sale my s13 i got a bunch of dumb people coming over and they just wasted my time ,they where all like can i test drive it ,at the beginning i was like cool lets go but after a while i stared saying if you got money on you ,you can drive it it just got old.I got this kid called me and said i have Cash can i see the car and at this time i was eating ,so we got me out from eating just to bs me but it does suck that he was very anal person.

When I was looking to get my car I ended up driving 2 hours to look at a 3000gt with cash in hand. The guy told me it was running perfect, so i decided to try and go for it.

Got there and it had a blown headgasket. The guy knew it had problems too, but neglected to tell me about it.

arrgh.

But I know the feeling.

craigslist just sucks, it really does. i just sold my car on there after having 100000000000000000000000000 people call me and only having about 5 or 6 people come check it out. i sold it for $700 too.

i hate craigslist too but it is probably the best bet for selling cars for private people. (cheaper cars at least)

when i was trying to get a car for my mom, most of them were either: a. sounded like they didn't want to sell the car or b. mad BS about description. in the end, i got owned, the car that i thought was "the one" ended up needing a lot of repairs...but now it runs good so w/e...it's a life lesson i guess.

the one time that i actually was interested in something on craigslist was last may of 08 it was a 1985 kawasaki ninja 600 for 1500$. it was 3 hour drive to my surprise the bike actually looked way better than it did on the pictures posted and i bought it on the spot. he was the original owner and had all maintenance records from day 1 its my first bike and i love that thing. so i guess i was on the good 20% side

my s14 was a craigslist deal.

i also had a similiar situation with a 90 300zx. i drove over 2 hours to see this and when i got there the outside was riced to hell (altho had great paint job), inside was completely gutted and the guy was talking about how this car gets the bishez as my gf was waiting patiently in the car. so we talk shop on price and try to work something out as i told the guy on the phone before i went over it will be a few weeks before i could have the cash, no prob. so we agree on a price after a few days of phone tag and emails back and forth and then he calls me a day later and told me its sold. i got my s14 after that, and then realized how gay the 300zx 2+2 really looks anyway.

better deals definatly do happen around the corner.

Lol when I went to look at my s13 I asked the guy if I could test drive it. He was like sure, handed me the keys, and walked back inside. I was just standing there with they keys and the car haha. I took it around the block and came back, had to call him to tell him I was outside again. Seems like he wanted me to steal it.

That sucks about the 2 hour drive though, but there is a better deal out there. Go south next time, less snow = less rust. And warmer weather.

there is ZERO rust anywhere on it and the motor runs strong

That does suck. I'm in sheboygan, only 40min-1hr away from you. My buddy is selling His 240 project if your interested in a project. If you want a shell, mine will be for sale shortly. My buddies project is a steal.

-S13 coupe, white. little rust spot on the door, Other then that good.-KA24DE under the hood. Works fine.There is no transmission installed. My buddy bought it auto. its in the middle of a auto to manual swap. Comes with manual transmission, transmission mount, clutch, flywheel, master and slave cylinder. SS clutch line. Clutch and brake pedal assembly. All you need is drive shaft and lower manual harness.-welded diff.-comes with S13 front end conversion. Fenders good. Headlights mint. GTR grill. Rare bumper. I think its the K. not sure. Its the one with no holes for the SMIC. Hoods kinda bad.-The flywheel is aftermarket, lightweight. The clutch is stage 2 something. New.I think thats all but i could have forgot something. This all for only 1K. Its worth wayyyyyy more then that. He just needs 1k more so he can get the down payment on his house he's trying to buy.

I will have a S13 hatch shell for sale soon.
