Hey Guys, whatsup,

currently my brother's friend is selling his SR'd Hatch for $3500

i'm interested, but my whole focus was on an s14 (as a DD, since i'm poor)

so i dont know if i should get the SR'd Hatch, or save up and be patient for a clean S14.

EDIT: no a/c. who needs a/c?

help, tips, comments, flaming, all appreciated.

Buy what you want, or you'll regret it later. Straight up. 3500 is a nice price though, if everything is good.

Def the s13 sr, but maybe thats just cause I'm building my s13 sr . I'm just not a big fan of s14's so it's really up to what you prefer, but that is a nice price for an sr'd s13

I've always thought Sr20s were over rated and what not, but for $3500, I wouldn't mind jumping on the bandwagon.

I would get the S14.

The ONLY reason you should consider the 13 is if you buy it simply to try and flip it and make money.

a clean s14 is not that much, just get what you want. Plus it's a lot of fun driving a car that you built yourself

The S13 may be tempting and you would enjoy it, but you want an S14. You'd have fun with the S13 for a while but then wish you had an S14. Wait it out and find the car you really want.

ugh, here in the land of the midwest

S14's have categories

1.Rusted, but MANUAL! (yay for manual)2.super clean! AUTO! (boo!)3.rusted, AUTO (boo some more)

finding a clean manual car in your color preference (which mines is black, white, and red (in that order)) is hard. i'd like an SE too. so i dont have to do a 5lug swap.

man.eff the midwest.

I can't see the pictures due to my works server, but I would not pass on a SR'd S13 if it were a good running clean swap for $3500...I highly doubt after a few minutes behind the wheel you would even miss the thought of a S14. I personally think they are all over-rated...(although I love Black Kouki's)

its a black rustless hatch, only bad thing is "no Power steering and the RPM gauge doesnt work"

its super mind boggling and so hard to make up my mind.

I drove mine around for 500 miles without P/s, it's not bad with the lighter SR in the chassis, and a tach change should take about an hour and cost about $25....you deffinetally need to drive the car, a good running turbo 240 is alot of fun

for 3500 you'd get some high mileage 5 spd 95 s14. i mean like 180-200k. or you can get a decent mileage or cleaner auto. finding one w/ SR might not be easy for 3500.

test drive the hatch...and if it runs well (and has ac and stuff) get it. if not and you're just looking for a dd, try your luck w/ a s14.

I would get that S13, for that price it will be hard to find an s14 with SR in it, after a while looks/year won't matter, after a while you want more power, assuming the SR is still in good condition.

I just called off work today to got get that hatch before any of you. Soon to be selling the hatch shell, anyone interested? eh seriously though I see what you mean, I would really like a clean Kouki s14, but a decently priced semi clean looking s13 with an SR already in it for $3,500 is a pretty sweet deal. All the pain in the Azz work was already done (getting the SR putting it in the car) You could do a nice rebuild and clean up the car real nice. Have a nice DD with a nice set of cojones when you want to get sideways. Plus don't all s14s have have ABS and air bags? pssh I need no stinkin airbags.

no power steering?

stupid and pointless.

the tach doesn't work? why? Is there some serious electrical issues floating around the car just waiting for you?
