ok so i have a question about my motor.theres what seems to be a baffle plate bolted to the motor between the 1st and 2nd oil squirter. well i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a new one. mine looks ok but the rubber is brittle and oil and nissan refunded my money for the one i tried to order so i guess its not available.

I have never seen that before. Is your engine a FWD?

nope its rwd. its bolted to the block inbetween cyl 1 and 2. behind the 2.d oil squirter. wish i had a pic in the motor but my blocks not back yet.

heres a pic of in the motor best i got.

Mine had it too. I think it's so that when the oil drains back out of the head, it doesn't pour on the spinning crankshaft and aerate the oil.

Yep, I got one from a DE block, it is still in it lol...

think ill have any trouble running my old one. i just kinda like replacing things lol.

mine looks fine cept a lil peice of the rubber chiped off its kinda brittle but ni think all used one will be the same since it from the same eara...

I have tore down at least a dozen CA18s, DEs and DETs, and I have never seen this part before. I have the parts manual so I can check and see if we got it here.
