I can't figure this out, but my drivers side window is stuck in the down position. It's on my 95 SE. The window amp, little white box, clicks every time I pull the up or down lever, but nothing happens. I pulled the circuit board out and all the solder points look good, I'm not much of an electrical expert though.
I pulled the window motor and it all looks fine, the tracks aren't stuck or anything. When I gave it power directly from the battery, nothing happens, even when I pull up or down on the lever. There's only 2 terminals on the window motor, and I tried both of them. Do I have to ground the other wire to see if it works? The 2 wires the hook the window motor up to the amp are green and blue. The green wire gets power when I pull up on the switch, as long as the amp is still hooked up.
The switch seems a little loose, for the auto down position, maybe that's the problem? When you roll it down, you have to pull up on the switch when it gets to the bottom to keep it from getting stuck, but my wife forgot to do so, so now it's stuck. Even when I muscle it up, nothing happens.
Where do I start to diagnose this problem? How can I test the window motor and amp to see if they're in working condition? Help, I need my windows to work!!! Thanks.
