all right look my brother in law has a DSM and he is selling me his t3/T4E turbo and the thing that is buggin him and his buyer (me) is that the dawm thing wont boost over 12psi, now the seals were bad before so he got new ones but before he did oil was every where and im afraid his boostcontoller (GReddy profec b) may got messed up with the oil or the wastegate did, well another thing is that the bracket that holds the waste gate was "modified" (ghettofied) so that it would fit, the thing was big and hit the fans, after "fixing"that, it was alittle weaker (the bracket) u could of wiggled it allittle. weve used a chain and tied it to the fans so that it wouldnt budge to get it to 14psi before but thats all we could get, it was tied up pretty strong, i still think it my be the boostcontoller, you know that little black box that controls the boost because it worked great with the stock T25 the turbo is a t3/T4E 50 trim w/ .63 a/r the same one everyone is currently is talking about sorry it was so long but thank you all for reading this Helping me in advance (EDIT) I am a JACK@$$ and so dont read any more as to it will be pointless, i fixed the problem which was that the adjustible wastegate needed adjusting so now i will smack myself, peace

oh and oil wasnt spilled but it came gushing out of the turbo and maybe damaged the boost controller because it may have gotten inside the boost controller

I don't think oil would hurt it. Its sealed off from the electronics, its just a valve.

Also, if you ghetto'd the bracket that wouldn't explain why it wouldn't boost... if anything it would flex and not open the wastegate and you would see boost spiking....

Remeber 4G63s are transversely mounted...so the fans are right next to the turbo...

so is it an internally gated turbo or external? i think internal of what i could grasp from that mumbo jumbo. edit* ok you changed it and said its internal. maybe the flapper isnt staying closed all the way. i bet thats your problem since yall ghettofied it. try and get it back to how it came when he first got the turbo. i never liked internally gated setups.

i fixed it if n-e1 didnt read the first post which was edited that the wastegate needed adjusting now my bro in law is hittin 17psi but we're scared to rev it up any more past (5000rpm) because he has a oil leak from the inlet line and it just might blow!
