Hey guys. I have a '94 S13

Just changed my intake manifold and I hear a really loud whistling from towards the front of the manifold / engine area. The car idles around 400rpm and usually shuts off. When I run it through the gears and give it gas its slow to rev but once it finally gets to 2500rpm or so it runs like normal. If I let off the gas, in neutral, it drops down to 400-500 and starts whistling again. you can hear whistling throughout the rev range just gets quieter the higher the revs are..

Spray some brake clean around the intake and see if the idle changes

I sprayed it all around the area, and there was no change. Idle is the only time this happens, so I feel like I mixed up one of the vacuum lines.

Also, are the '91 to '94 manifolds different at all?

91-94 intake manis are pretty identical. Believe in '93 they may have removed the butterly valves on them, but that wouldn't affect idle.

Also I'd use start fluid to spray instead of brake cleaner (as brake cleaner could eat the rubber/plastic).

IACV been hooked up and cleaned on the new intake mani?

FIXED!!!

I took a look at the vacuum lines in daylight, under the EGR valve I missed one. I could tell because the original shiny unplugged end reflected against my flashlight. :) Also I needed a new throttle body gasket, I took a rag and started patting it down on the manifold to see if it plugged up the leak. Plugged up the throttle body leak and the idle shot straight to 1000rpm and it stopped running rich, and engine light went off.

For some reason I literally gained power and the car idles at 1500. IACV can fix the idle. But power gain..? I'm not questioning that, just enjoying it.
