My greddy turbo timer has this function that will add time to the counter automatically depending on the rpm signal... The high setting is preset for 2000 rpm or more and the Low setting is set for over 3000 rpm.. Mine is set to Low so that whenever i go above 3000 rpm it will start adding more time to the counter..

Its been working fine for months, but for some reaosn i noticed that when i go past 2000 rpm, it starts to add time. I have re-set it to LOW several times to make sure that its set right but it adds when i pass 2000 rpm..

So i set it to HIGH and it does as its supposed to...( add as it passes 2000 rpm) Put it back to LOW and it continues to add when the rpms pass 2000 rpm..

COuld this be a sign that the timer has gone bad..??

Now let me add that last week for some reason, when i went to start the car, i heard a pop and the car would not start... But the timer and ignition were both on as if i were ready to crank her up..

I went and pulled the keys OUT and the igniton stayed on. I hit the power button on it and it did not respond. Basically the timer was stuck ON..

So i pulled the timer OUT and un-plugged the main harness and the ignition went off. I plugged it back in, started the car and shut her off and the timer counted down as normal and the motor and igniton shut down...

Since this incident, the timer countdown is working and shutting down the motor as it should but now the timer is adding when its not supposed to..

Has anyone ran into this problem b4..??

with my old timer it would never shut off. no matter what i had it set for it would jsut keep running. so i guess things can just go wrong with them
