BAD turbo line = bad idle and then die?

BAD turbo line = bad idle? im about to replace it the turbo line that i have in my sr20det looks like it was cut and just clamped w/ a rubber fitting, looks like a fake braided line doesnt have the blue and red fitting at the end. Is it possible that this a big vacuum leak?

yes, it can be a vac leak, incorrect timing, or simply adjusting the idle air controller
