I just finished my swap, got everything running and together. The motor/transmission worked perfectly fine in my old car. The transmission sat outside for a month or so with some water sitting inside of it. I flushed it all out and put new fluid in it. A picture speaks a thousand words, so I have a video

When the car starts to stumble at 1:06, about 40% throttle was applied from what my safc tells me.

id say that was some detonation or fuel cut

I don't think it was a fuel cut because it revs freely to redline at idle, and with light load. If you can hear the transmission, it starts screaming around that time. Also, theres alot of whining/grinding nosies when its decelerating and accelerating. Detonation? I hope not because I'm only running 10lbs, s14 sr20. Theres no noises at idle, neutral, out of gear, clutch in, etc. only on decel/accel

if it was the tob it would squeel and it would stop when you pushed the clutch in...my s14 sr did about the same thing befor the rebuild

the transmission made loud whining noises? it does stop when i clutch in, but i doubt it sthe TOB myself. i think it's something internal with the transmission but i wanted to get a second opinion. the motor revs fine when it's at idle, i revved it a few times in the video buuut

yeah i have an hks but i'm pretty positive it's not the bov. i've narrowed it down to maybe the pilot bearing or the gears itself, since water did get inside the gearbox and sit in there for a month. i've just picked up a ka transmission and i'm going to swap the bell housings over this weekend. i'll find out the problem then, hopefully i can salvage my clutch

from the way it sounds and looks on the vid it has nothing to do with your trans... i have done many many motor swaps and have gottten trannys with water in them and cleaned them out and the have worked just fine..

yeah, the stumbling had nothing to do with my trans, i had to replace a coupler. but the trans is still making grinding and whining noises
