What would happen if you had bad timing?? I think I have bad timing beacuse Ive done everything from removing the 5th gear govenor to Chipped ECU and nothing seems like its working because i am still redlining at 5k. You think it might be my timing??? is it hard to adjust after I open the valve cover??? thanks for your time...

cam timing would not cause you to have a 5k redline. In fact if you were off a tooth on the cams you probably wouldnt get your car to start due to lack of compression. And if you did you would most likely have valves contacting piston.

this could go in the technical or nissan mechanic forum. Check your MAF sensor if it isnt sending its signal the car has a lower cut off. My car cut off at 2500 though.

i dont think it would be so precise if it were the fuel pump. If the fuel cuts out at 5k every time its something electrical. ECU is doing it. but tough to say why.

Yes all 240sx have distributors. But ignition timing wouldnt affect a fuel cutoff.
