bad tachometer affecting tail light fuse?

well i've did some research and it seems like this has happened to many 240sx owners. well enough about that, i've blown about 15 fuses aready and still no luck around fixing my problem about my tail light fuse that keep blowing.

my question is can a bad tachometer(the meter goes crazy as hell, up and down) blow a fuse?

Need more details......

Are you reffering to the tach in your gauge cluster??? Is yes, then there is good chance that somebody replaced that cluster at one time and messed the wiring and tach while at it.

If a separate tach, then the same wiring (Illumination) was damaged while installing the tach.

For both cases: Recheck your wiring, Search for Illumination path problems.
