Bad Sending unit.

Hey I got a 1980 Datsun 720. The fuel sending unit is bad. I have replaced that thing a few times but because of the age of the ones I get they keep going bad. Has anyone ever successfully reaired or rebuilt one? Help!!!!!!!!!! Please!!!!!

Sorry folks but I have been gone for a while. Hey do you have the Email address for AZhitman, if I can get a new sending unit for my 1980 720, or one that has been sold as an aftermaket item that would make my life so much easier.

well... to be honest... sending units are one of the hardest things to find for these trucks... get one from a dealer... or a junk yard... or just snag a universal one

I will check tomorrow if I still have the sending unit & tank from the last 1980 720 I parted out if you are interested in a used one.

Hey Charlie thanks man but I have got about 6 used ones from different 720's. The problem is the last one worked for about the last year or so before it went bad. I'm thinking that I am going to try and find a universal one that I modify to work in my truck.

You are welcome. I have never had a Datsun sending unit go bad, I guess I have been lucky.
